Power string band trio, Split Lip Rayfield, known for their “Stage Five Thrash Grass sound,” became notoriously popular in Midwest bluegrass circles around the turn of the 21^st century. They enjoyed a huge following and then a near-fatal blow when founding member Kurt Rundstrom tragically succumbed to cancer in 2007. After some fits and starts, the boys are getting the band back together and performing a few select shows.

We are thrilled to have these genre-defining luminaries back after a long hiatus. Last time they performed at Bartlett in 2013, torrential unexpected rain began to fall— yet no one left the lawn. This promises to be a not-to-miss reunion.
