Parker Millsap Band
Sunday, June 14
To hear Parker Millsap tell it, there's a little bit of Jesus - and a little bit of the devil - in him and his music.
Having won The Americana Music Association Emerging Artist of the year and album of the year, Parker packs a punch. With five studio albums to his name, the Oklahoma son of blues-loving, Pentecostal-praising parents has been featured on NPR, Conan and Austin City Limits, among others. He and his band are swinging through Belle Plaine, back by popular demand. Lucky us. This time, in support of the 10 th anniversary of his seminal recording, The Very Last Day, which remains an essential Americana classic. Ten years later, the album stands as a pillar in Millsap’s catalog and is being celebrated with a specialty vinyl release and tour. Parker and his band will be performing the album start to finish with other fan favorites from throughout his career.
