Wine, Women & Song

Motherhood & Mother Nature – Sunday, May 12, 2024 - 4PM

These perennial arboretum forces have been supporting one another for over a century.

It’s Wine.
It’s Women.
It’s Song.

The Arboretum is always on parade for Mother’s Day and this year promises to be the best yet. Sample vino from Kansas' Grace Hill Winery while enjoying music from some of the arboretum's resident crooners.

A veteran in the Oklahoma hillbilly jazz circuit, Janet Rutland will kick off the show, ala, Patsy Cline as is tradition. Robin Macy will then debut her long-awaited, full-length recording, begun during COVID, inspired by the ongoing work as Bartlett Arboreum's Steward. Cherokee Maidens and Little Big Twang will chime in as well.

As a bonus, Salted Creamery will be in the offing when you are here. So pack a picnic, enjoy homemade ice cream on the lawn for dessert. $20 at the gate but wee ones free if under wing. (12 and under)
Freshly dug bulbs for all mums – while they last!

Music at 4 PM.
Open all day 9-6
Sorry. No pups on the weekend.

Get ready to smile!
This year, as a special bonus to help celebrate mama on Mother’s Day, we’ve added a little treat.

Throw your donation in the hat and let Mother Nature be the backdrop while gorgeous memories of mama are made. Our fave portrait photographer, Amy Sharp, will be set up in the formal gardens, ready to take portraits of any and all folks who nurture others - along with their loved ones.

100% of donations go to the Arb, one portrait per donation. Portraits will be edited by Ms. Sharp in the next couple weeks and when ready will be emailed in a high-resolution digital file.

While they last, freshly dug bulbs for all mums also on the menu. BYOB (bag.)
One grocery bag per family, pretty please.
